A Capacity Building and Professional Development Consultant

The first capacity buiding activities in the field of Water Resources Development and Management in Indonesia started in 1986 by the International Institute for Infrastructure, Hydraulic and Environmental Engineering – IHE Delft, the Netherlands. In 1987 similar activities were initiated in Sanitary Engineering and in 1998 in Urban Infrastructure Management.
   
A Regional Branch office of IHE Delft was established in 1998 in Jakarta to represent IHE Delft and to provide services in the formulation and implementation of capacity building programmes in Indonesia. In 2003 the Regional Branch Office became an independent consultancy firm PT Infrastruktur, Hidro dan Ekologi Indonesia (IHE Indonesia). This was considered a logical step in the sequence to increase capacity building activities in Indonesia.
